CVTI is a force multiplier!
If you’re someone engaged in the work of supporting service members, veterans, and their families as they transition from the military to higher education and workforce settings, we’re excited to collaborate with you.
Our small, versatile team works closely with veteran serving professionals who aspire to strengthen cultures of support for military-connected people where they live, work, and go to school. We can help you integrate our programs, tools, and resources into your own institutional offerings, or we can collaborate with you to build new, custom solutions to address unique needs.
We generally operate in four areas of practice:
Our Expertise in Action
An Online Pre-Certification Course for The ETS Sponsorship Program
The ETS Sponsorship Program is a collaboration between the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Army, that assists soldiers in transition to civilian life and the post-military community of their choice. CVTI worked with ETS-SP to rethink and rebuild their entire training curriculum.
A Powerful Collaboration and On-Going Support
Along with help from Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning, CVTI empowered Next Step Inbound to produce their first in a series of University Campus tour videos designed to provide service members and veterans an insightful look into a school’s resources and student veteran experience through a relatable and familiar veteran perspective.
In 2018, CVTI brought together leaders from the The Department of Defense Military-Civilian Transition Office (MCTO), and higher education administrators from around the country to engage in dialogue–with a goal to discover and clear existing barriers facing those in transition from service to higher education.
CVTI partnered with with Columbia Public Safety to conducted trainings to empower Public Safety with a better appreciation for veteran experience and culture so they can develop a capacity to respond effectively and respectfully to student veteran needs on campus.
