Texas A&M

CVTI provides support to initiative at Texas A&M.

Over three years, CVTI has facilitated capacity building training to 2- and 4-year Texas colleges, universities, and VSOs. Sessions offered include:

  • Reframing Impostor Feelings As An Essential Leadership Skill for Military-Connected Students
  • Cultivating Growth Mindset for Success in the College Classroom
  • Operation EQ: How to Build Core Social-Emotional Intelligence Competencies for Veterans
  • Beyond Veteran Friendly: Creating Veteran Empowering Culture on Campus

CVTI has also had the pleasure of presenting several sessions to the students in Texas A&M's First-Generation Veterans learning community, a yearlong comprehensive program composed of first generation undergraduate Aggie veterans, as well as faculty and staff from across the university.

The First Gen Vets program is uniquely designed to increase knowledge and associated skills of first-generation Aggie veterans in the attributes necessary to be a successful college student and to increase first-generation Aggie veterans’ support networks with campus resources, other veterans, faculty, and staff.

CVTI is proud to provide support to initiatives at partner institutions that promote thriving veteran and military-connected communities.
