ADDING VALUE TO WARRIOR SCHOLAR’S CURRICULUM
The Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) operates academic boot camps designed to empower and guide enlisted service members wishing to attend four-year universities. The program seeks to teach the skills required for effective and successful learning in the college environment.
The CVTI staff worked with WSP to create an online pre-course via the Canvas LMS system. WSP participants nationwide were able to take this pre-course prior to their attending an on-campus program.
In addition, Columbia University and the Center for Veteran Transition and Integration has hosted a WSP cohort at Columbia University for the last two summers. In 2019, 14 warrior-scholars attended a one-week session on campus taught by Columbia faculty, CVTI advisors/staff, and WSP staff.
