The ETS Sponsorship Program

CVTI Produces an Online Pre-Certification Course for The ETS Sponsorship Program

The ETS Sponsorship Program is a collaboration between the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Army that assists soldiers in transition to civilian life and the post-military community of their choice. The program connects transitioning soldiers with local sponsors across the U.S.. These sponsors are trained, as part of this program, and certified to build relationships and resiliency with these transitioning soldiers. These sponsors assist soldiers with navigating services that support them with employment, education, housing, legal concerns, service benefits and medical and mental health care issues.

The program is a day-long workshop where sponsors learn about military cultural competency, various services available to soldiers, and how to build relationships with them. It is currently taught in 19 cities across the U.S. and certified several thousand sponsors per year.

CVTI worked with the program director, Dr. Joseph Geraci and his team to create a comprehensive online pre-course that all participants are required to take to enter the program.
