Community Engagement
A Hub for Connection and Community
Located at 205 Kent Hall, our space offers regular community hours for Columbia veterans and military-connected students. It’s a place to gather, connect, and access support. We also collaborate with student groups to host events that strengthen the veteran community.
Bringing People Together to Drive Change
We host roundtables, listening sessions, faculty engagements, and community events that bring together leaders in veteran transition. These gatherings help us share insights, conduct research, and collaboratively shape more effective support systems.

FAQ
It's easy. Just reach out to us via the website, stop by our office or give us a call at (212) 853-1586, and we can set up a time to connect. Whether you're looking for support, resources, or want to get involved, CVTI is here to help.
The answer is - it depends!
Costs associated with CVTI services vary on a case-by-case basis depending upon the specific service(s) we're offering and for whom. Our virtual resources - our online transition support courses, our extensive library of video content, the instructional content we've created across our social media platforms - are open source and completely free for all to use. We are also able to offer our more boutique engagements - delivering workshops and seminars, offering trainings, auditing and building support programs, providing consulting services, facilitating community listening sessions, speaking at events, creating custom capacity building interventions for veterans, transitioning service members, and veteran-serving professionals - at zero-cost for nonprofit organizations as well as resource-constrained college and university partners (although we always appreciate when colleague institutions can cover the cost of travel and accommodations when they request members of our team to join them in-person).
Additionally, we are delighted to offer this same array of services to our for-profit and corporate partners for a fee that we determine in consultation with our partners and in accordance with the scope of work to be provided.
While fees-for-service generate critical financial support for the work that we do, the Center's mission depends on philanthropy to achieve its mission to build stronger cultures of support for veterans and transitioning service members all across America.
