News
CVTI’s Narrative Practice initiative led by David Keefe creates participatory spaces where veterans, military-connected people, and allies engage in various ways to explore how meaning and identity are shaped across experiences. Through presentations, listening sessions, and workshops, the program reframes "narrative" to challenge assumptions of who veterans are, who tells their stories, and who may be left out. This multidisciplinary approach is an evolving, relational practice that fosters connection, Self and Other awareness, and institutional insight.
CVTI participated in Minnesota State Moorhead’s Veterans Resources and Services Fair, where R.J. Jenkins delivered the opening address and engaged with partners to highlight the power of collaboration in supporting military-connected students.
At the NASPA Symposium for Military-Connected Students, CVTI’s Director of Education R.J. Jenkins led multiple sessions and co-presented a plenary focused on candidly addressing the challenges of supporting student veterans and strengthening the professionals who serve them.
