The Warrior Scholar Project is an in-person, curriculum hosted at campuses across the nation, designed to help service members and veterans prepare for college. CVTI empowered WSP participants nationwide with a comprehensive on-line pre-course.
A Powerful Partnership in Higher Education
Columbia University has hosted WSP cohorts at its Morningside Campus for many years, so when CVTI started operating in 2017 it was only natural for leadership at the two organizations to come together.
Things like living in dorms, eating at college dining halls, and studying late into the night are the important experiential hallmarks that high caliber learning institutions have come to recognize as essential and successful aspects of WSP’s program. So the partnership focused on what could be done beyond the campus.
The end result was a comprehensive pre-program course that prepares candidates for their upcoming on-campus program. The team at CVTI worked closely with Warrior Scholar Project leadership to produce, deploy, and host the course online.
