This event will bring together administrators and students from both veteran and system impacted spaces to facilitate a generative discussion about how university administrators can build better integrative cultures of support for these populations.
We hope this conversation will help us:
discover commonalities of experience,
identify stigmas and stereotypes associated with both groups,
highlight challenging areas that may be addressed by student group collaboration,
foster future collaboration between system impacted and student veteran groups on campus,
furnish a brief essay that highlights ways in which student-serving administrators can build new resources for these groups; and (using the essay)
create a digital educational tool for other administrators seeking to work with these student populations.
