Tiana Sloan

At CVTI Tiana Sloan develops and leads career transition initiatives that help student veterans successfully navigate the path from military service to meaningful civilian careers. She works closely with students, employers, and University partners to expand career opportunities, strengthen employer engagement, and foster successful post-graduation outcomes for the veteran community. With more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit and public service sectors, including 14 years in higher education, Tiana has focused her career on supporting veterans and military-connected students through holistic advising, strategic partnerships, and comprehensive support programs that promote academic, professional, and personal success. Beyond her work at Columbia, Tiana serves as President of the American Legion Auxiliary Leroy Gregory Unit 979 and is actively involved in regional organizations dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. Tiana holds a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Baruch College. Her commitment to veteran advocacy is informed by both her professional experience and her perspective as a spouse of a U.S. Army veteran.
