Introvert vs. Extrovert

Introvert vs. Extrovert
I like Susan Cain's definition of introversion versus extroversion. She wrote the book Quiet. She talks about it in terms of energy, right?

Where an extrovert gets energy from being social, where an introvert loses energy from being social, spends energy being social. So the way that she described it to me, which I loved, she says, an extrovert wakes up in the morning with no coins, and every social interaction they have, they get a coin. And by the end of the day, they feel rich.

Where an introvert wakes up in the morning with five coins. In every social interaction, they spend a coin. And by the end of the day, they're depleted. So I'm not, like, incapable of social interaction. That's social awkwardness. I have plenty of that, too. That's not introversion.

But for me to, like, give a talk or attend a social event, I get exhausted. I don't get recharged. So yeah, I'm very much an introvert.

In this video, Simon Sinek discusses the differences between introverts and extroverts.
